eTA Canada (Electronic Travel Authorization) is an electronic visa for passengers traveling to Canada by air and coming from visa-free countries. Canadian electronic travel authorization is a multiple entry visa allowing a stay of up to 6 months at a time. Its validity ends after five years from the issue.
The application process is less complicated than applying for a paper visa. The eTA application fee is 49 euros which is also more economical than in the case of traditional travel authorization.

Types of electronic visas to Canada
Only one type of Canadian electronic travel authorization is available for visa-exempt foreign nationals. It is a multiple-entry tourist visa.
You can apply for an eTA if you plan to visit Canada for tourism or business-related reasons like a holiday, visiting family, friends, conferences, business meetings, etc. When entering Canada for work, electronic travel authorization doesn’t apply.
With an electronic visa, you can enter Canada plenty of times within five years from the date of issue. The maximum stay duration is six months at a time.

When the government of Canada approves the visa, it is automatically linked to the passport. Thus, printing Canadian eTA is not necessary.

Validity Period
The government of Canada allows eTA holders to enter Canada more than once. Within five years of validity, you may cross the border plenty of times and stay up to six months at a time.
